Origami: Elephant by sandzen Origami: Elephant by sandzen
Done for my sister-in-law, Shona, I actually gave this one away to her before I had a chance to photograph it. But I liked the design enough to make a duplicate.

I think elephants are pretty awesome. The fact that they have graveyards is pretty much the coolest (I've heard that whales do too, but that's unconfirmed).

Your origami creations are quite amazing. I like all of them.
I've seen a lot of elephant origami but yours is the cutest, is there a tutorial anywhere?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I've been away for a while.

Actually, I just go to YouTube and labouriously follow the tutorials there. If you don't mind stopping and starting the video, with a sheet of origami paper in hand, you can do as I do. And, I'll be honest, I get hung up on the strangeness of certain folds all the time. Stick with it, and you'll get what you see at the video's end. Just make sure the sheet you're using is the same size as the one in the video or you might find the little details harder to mold with your bare hands.

Wow, thanks.

I was amazed by how fast I went from 'this is too hard for me' to 'how complex can I go?'

Now I'm convinced that pretty much anybody could do what I do, but not in a bad way. I think people should try it.

Thanks again. And for the add.

very cute one :)
Was it hard to fold it? I would like to learn how to make that one.

For an especially good design, no, it's not terribly time-consuming.
